Why Choose a Disney Value Resort with Family Suites?

Staying at a Disney Value Resort with Family suites provide extra space for everyone as well as comfort. Each suite has a private bedroom with a queen sized bed, a pullout sofa couch, and a pull-down table double bed. There is also a small kitchen nook area with a small fridge and microwave, a coffee maker, and 2 spacious bathrooms. Each family suite can sleep up to 6 guest making it ideal for large families.

You can find these family suites at either Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. Both resorts have themed rooms, themed pools, playgrounds, arcades, gift shop, and a cafeteria. You can also take full advantage of their transportation to and from the parks. Each of the resorts also has kid-friendly amenities such as fun themed pools, arcades, playgrounds, Movies Under the Stars and even campfire smores.

Best Value Resorts with Family Suites at Walt Disney World

The best thing about staying at a Disney Value Resort is that you can still experience the magic of Disney but at a more affordable and budget-friendly price. Disney takes pride in their resorts and everything that they do so even though it is considered a “value resort” you know you will be staying at a resort that is immersed in the Disney experience. From randomly seeing characters at the resorts walking around, to Disney themed rooms and even foods, to so much more. You are sure to know that you will have the full Disney magical experience. Let’s dive into more of the details of each of the resorts and each of the different family suites that they have to offer.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Let’s start with one of my favorite value resorts, Disney’s Art of Animation. This beautiful themed resort has several family suite options. You are sure to always find a family suite to fit your vacation needs here. Disney’s Art of Animation is also the best resort for Disney fans who love fully themed rooms!

All of the family-suites at Disney’s Art of Animation have the following amenities:

  • 1 Private bedroom with a Queen sized bed and a private full bathroom
  • 1 Table double bed
  • 1 Pull-out couch double bed
  • 1 Pull-down table double bed
  • Small eating table
  • Kitchenette with mini fridge, sink, and microwave
  • 1 Full split bathroom
  • Couch and seating area
  • 2 TV’s
  • Fully themed room all throughout

At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort you can find several different themed family suites. The resort itself has four different themed areas and the rooms are themed accordingly. Here are the fun themes they have!

  • The Lion King
  • Cars
  • Finding Nemo
  • The Little Mermaid (Note: This area only has standard rooms and no family suites but the theming is so cute!)

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort also provides transportation to and from the parks. You can take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and to EPCOT for a quick transportation option. You can also take a bus to the Disney parks as well as Disney Springs.

Fun Fact!
The Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation is Walt Disney World’s largest resort pool.

Disney's All-Star Music Resort - Family Suite - Private Bedroom

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort

Out of the different options for family-suites at the Disney value resorts, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort provides the best budget-friendly option. Their sweets have a more spacious kitchenette area, larger fridge, and still fits 6 guests pretty comfortably. However, the price is lower then at Art of Animation. Because of this, these family-suites book up real fast so it is best to make your reservation months in advance.

The family suites at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort include:

  • 1 Private bedroom with a queen sized bed and a private full sized bathroom.
  • A living area with a table and couch.
  • 1 Table pull-down double bed
  • 1 Couch pull-out double bed
  • 1 Full-sized split bathroom
  • Kitchen area with a larger fridge, microwave, counter, sink, and a small space to store your food and snacks.

The resort also has a cute musical theme all throughout and the pools are shaped into musical instruments like a giant guitar and a piano. Pretty cool, huh! However, the only transportation method from Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is bus. You can take the bus to any of the Disney theme parks as well as to Disney Springs.

Comparing Disney’s Family Suites: Which One Is Right for You?

So which Disney value resort is best for you when choosing a family suite? If you are looking for a budget-friendly option I would definitely go with Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. If you are okay with spending a little more for the best experience and the beautiful theming of Disney Pixar characters throughout the resort, then Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is the way to go.

Tips for Booking a Family Suite on a Budget at a Disney Value Resort

Looking to save you some more money on your next Disney vacation? Here are some tips to help you make the most of your budget.

First, book early! Popular family-suites sell out quickly. If you want to book the Disney’s All-Star Music Resort family suite, you have to book it months in advance. Sometimes you may get lucky and find one but it’s hard. They tend to book fairly quickly because of the size and the low cost of these family suites.

Second, look for special offers and discounts! You can find these on the Disney website or you can talk with your Disney travel agent for the best deals.

Third, plan to travel during off-season! This is when you can find the lowest rates. I would highly recommend traveling mid January to February or September to October. These tend to be lower in price but also have smaller crowds in the park.

Fourth, use a Disney travel agent (like me)! Disney travel agents usually don’t charge extra to book your trip and will even help you make dining reservations, handle any changes, travel insurance, and much more. Best of all, if a new special offer or new discounts pop up, they will add it to your trip, saving you more money in the long run! Can you imagine waking up to an email saying you saved a few hundred dollars on your next Disney trip! How exciting!
